2013 Andy Devine Days Rodeo Queen
Taylor Overson

2013-queen2013-queen

Hi! My name is Taylor Overson and I am honored to have been chosen for the 2013 Andy Devine Days Rodeo Queen! I am 17 years old and was born in Wikieup, Arizona. My great-grandfather, Jack Wilson, owned the Bar S Ranch and that is where I lived until I was three years old. When the ranch was sold that is when I moved to Kingman, Arizona. My parents are Ben and Sara Overson and I have a brother and sister, Jack and Mckenzie Overson. Being born into a family of ranchers and with dad that went to rodeos has made horses a big part of my life and they always will be. I love to rope and barrel race and I plan to become a professional barrel racer. My main horses are Cowboy, Bear and Lexi and they are all registered quarter horses. I plan to go to college in Phoenix and when I finish my education I want to train horses.
I'm so excited that I get to represent the sport of rodeo in my home town! Rodeo is my life, I love everything about rodeos. There’s nothing better than showing up to a rodeo and feeling the adrenaline through the air. My goals for being Queen are to promote my town, promote our rodeo, to show people what a wonderful sport rodeo is, and to help get more people involved with rodeo. I want to thank our committee, the Kingsmen and my rodeo queen director, Tiffany Leo, for giving me this opportunity. I would also like to thank my parents and Dolli and Jolee Lautaret for all of the love and support they give me in and out of arena. I would also like to invite you to our Annual Andy Devine Days Rodeo on September 29th and 30th! Happy Trails!
